Who we are

Find Non-Profit Consultants at FindNPConsultants.org (“the directory,” “we,” “us”) is based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Questions about privacy: hello@findnpconsultants.org.

What we collect

• Consultants: name, firm, email, region, specialties, the details you add to your profile, your photo and attachments, and when you sign in.
• Nonprofits who send a message: your name, organization, email, budget size, referring foundation (if any), your message, and your answers to our check-in email.
• Reviewers: your name, organization, email, star rating and review.
• Reports: the reason, any details, and your email if you choose to give it.
• Technical information: basic, privacy-friendly site statistics, security logs, and an automatic bot check on our forms.

How we use it

• To run the directory and show consultant profiles.
• To deliver messages and send the emails the directory needs (sign-in links, message notices, confirmations, profile updates and check-ins).
• To measure the pilot. We report these numbers in totals, not by person.
• To keep the site safe and prevent spam.

What is public

Consultant profiles are public, except for the consultant’s email. Published reviews show the reviewer’s name and organization, not their email. Messages are private between you and the consultant, though our admin team can see the message log to run the directory.

Who we share it with

We share your message with the consultant you contact. We use a few service providers to run the site: Supabase (database and file storage), Cloudflare (hosting, bot check and privacy-friendly site statistics) and Resend (email). They handle data only to provide their service. We don’t sell personal information. We may share information if the law requires it.

Cookies

If you sign in, we use one cookie to keep you signed in. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

Profiles stay until the consultant deletes their account. Messages, check-ins and reports are kept for 24 months, then deleted.

Your choices

Consultants can edit, pause or delete their profile at any time. Anyone can ask us to see, correct or delete their information by emailing hello@findnpconsultants.org. If you don’t want our check-in emails, reply to one or contact us and we’ll stop them.

Children

The directory is for organizations and professionals. It isn’t meant for anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above and, for big changes, email signed-up consultants.

Using the directory

By using Find Non-Profit Consultants (FindNPConsultants.org), you agree to these terms. The directory helps Indiana nonprofits find and contact independent consultants. It’s free for nonprofits.

We’re not part of your engagement

Any work you arrange with a consultant is between you and that consultant. We don’t employ consultants, take a fee from engagements, or guarantee results. See our disclaimer.

Please don’t

• Send spam, sales pitches or mass messages through the contact form.
• Post false, misleading or someone else’s information.
• Harass anyone, or post offensive or discriminatory content.
• Copy or scrape the directory, or try to get around our security or limits.

What you submit

You keep ownership of what you submit (profiles, photos, attachments, reviews). You give us permission to display it on the directory and use it to run the service. You confirm you have the right to share it.

Our rights

We may review, decline, hide or remove any profile, review or message that breaks these terms, and we may block senders or turn off accounts.

No warranty

The directory is provided “as is.” We work to keep it accurate and available, but we can’t promise it will be error-free or always online. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for losses that come from using the directory or from any engagement with a consultant.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Marion County, Indiana.

Who can join

Independent consultants and consulting firms who serve nonprofits in Indiana. Our team reviews every profile before it goes live.

Your profile

• Keep your information accurate and up to date.
• Only upload photos and work samples you own or have permission to share.
• Remove client names and confidential details from attachments unless your client agreed.
• Reply to nonprofit inquiries within a reasonable time.

What we check

We check profiles for completeness. We don’t verify credentials, licenses or insurance, and a listing isn’t an endorsement. We may decline, ask for changes to, hide or remove a profile.

Fees

Listing is free during the pilot. After the pilot, full participation is $300 a year or $29 a month, and a basic listing stays free. We’ll tell you before any fee starts. We never take a commission on your engagements.

Your engagements

Contracts, pricing, insurance and any required licenses for your work are your responsibility.

Reviews

Nonprofits may review your work. You can’t remove a review, but you can report one that breaks the review guidelines.

Leaving

You can pause your profile or delete your account at any time from My profile. Deleting removes your profile, attachments, messages and reviews.

Who can write a review

Anyone from a nonprofit that worked with the consultant. Each organization can leave one review per consultant.

What makes a good review

• What the consultant helped with.
• How it went and what changed.
• An honest, fair rating.

Not allowed

• Confidential details about your organization, clients or staff.
• Personal attacks, threats, or offensive or discriminatory language.
• Reviews of yourself, your own firm, family, or a competitor.
• Reviews written in exchange for payment, discounts or favors.
• Phone numbers, emails or links.

How we moderate

Our team reads every review before it’s published. We don’t edit reviews: we publish them as written or decline them. We may remove a published review later if it breaks these guidelines. Consultants and visitors can report a review from the profile page.

What we show

Your name, organization, rating and review. Never your email.

Listings aren’t endorsements

Profiles are written by the consultants themselves. Our team checks them for completeness, but we don’t verify credentials, licenses, insurance or the quality of anyone’s work. Being listed is not a recommendation, and the order of results isn’t a ranking.

Reviews are opinions

Reviews reflect the experience of the person who wrote them, not our view.

Do your own checks

Before hiring, ask for references, confirm credentials that matter for your project, and put the scope, timeline and fees in a written agreement.

We’re not a party

We aren’t part of any agreement between a nonprofit and a consultant and aren’t responsible for the work or its results. Nothing on this site is legal, financial or tax advice.
